Inter-Dimensional Overlord
This began as a simple abstract experiment with ink & watercolors on paper, which I later scanned to use as a canvas in Autodesk Sketchbook. I started seeing shapes & contours in the random swirling splatters of color and began sketching over them to create the basis for the otherworldly monstrosity you see before you now. After I finished the lines, I added some shadows/highlights, then got a little crazy with the various blending options in GIMP, and came up with the final product - an inter-dimensional techno-sorcerer with his pet pyramid crab.
