Hinnom Magazine Issue 003 Cover Design

This is the front/back cover design for Issue #003 of Hinnom Magazine, a horror fiction magazine which was published by Gehenna & Hinnom Books, edited by C.P. Dunphey, and released in October 2017, in time for Halloween. To commemorate the holiday, we elected to assemble a variety of abominations from various classic horror tales by different authors. They are represented by costumes worn by occultists who are assembled in a field to summon down Azathoth into the simulacrum of a wicker man. Thanks for looking!

I began with Azathoth, an all-powerful elder God from the Cthulhu mythos, who makes up the central figure of the pic in the background.

From there, we can see a representation of another Lovecraftian icon - Cthulhu - his mask being worn by an occultist who holds the dreaded Necronomicon.
