Cornelius Jebediah Gilman, E.O.D.

This is a character design inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's "The Shadow Over Innsmouth". It's done in a portrait style similar to something one might see framed and hanging on the walls in the temple of some secretive fraternal order. Since the Order of Dagon's lodge (in the original story) was previously a Masonic temple, I incorporated some Masonic elements into the designs on the character's regalia. When it was done, I wrote up a little piece of flash fiction and then distressed prints of both the writing and the portrait.
